Art & History

In 1912, the Woodlark Building was completed by Portland architectural firm Doyle, Patterson and Beach and became the city’s first wholesale pharmacy and earliest commercial skyscraper. The hotel features a deeply integrated art collection by local Imogen Cunningham, a pioneer in photography throughout the twentieth century. Throughout Woodlark’s public spaces, you’ll also find the works of Maja Dlugolecki, a self-taught abstract painter and Pacific Northwest native. Maja’s striking canvas paintings offer a strong, sophisticated visual representation of the creativity and collaborative spirit found at the hotel.

Abigail Hall

An intimate, living room-style bar. It’s a comfortable gathering space with a menu to suit all palates and makes everyone feel relaxed and at home.

Defined by the roaring wood-fired hearth on display in the open kitchen and a downstairs wood-fired smoker, Bullard worships at the pedestal of smoke and fire in homage to classic Texas cooking.

Good Coffee

A local coffee shop with a location right in our lobby serving coffee, tea, and a selection of food items.
